Photo Text Effects
The Photo Text Effects category lets you place text effects over your photo and then scale and position the text as desired.

As you can see from the screenshot below, the interface for the Photo Text Effects is very simple to use:

Step One: Choose the type of effect from the Effects Menu:

Step Two: Click the Select Typeface link under the preview:

Step Three: After you have clicked on the Select Typeface link you will see a pop-up appear that lets you select from over 200 different typefaces:

Select a typeface category from the menu and then click through the pages to see all your options. Click on the example you want to apply and the pop-up window will close.

Step Four: Enter your text into the field where it says Example Text. You can only have one line of text so you can't use the return or create a line-break:

Step Five: Click on the effect example you want to apply to your type:

You will now see the text you have typed appear on the preview above your photo:

You can click to preview different effects and see how they look on your photo. You should do this first before you scale, rotate and position your text as each time the text is rendered onto the photo it is repositioned in the center again.

Step Six: Use the Scale and Rotate Graphic sliders to adust the text as desired. Click over the text to drag the text to wherever you want it to appear on the photo.

Use the Create Larger Preview link to generate a large preview of the text effect. The larger preview text is not created at the highest quality level but so don't worry if it appears a bit grainy or has some loss of quality on it. The final high-resolution version will have the highest of quality settings applied to it.

When you are through looking at the preview, click the Return button to go back to the main page again.

Note: You can change the photo by clicking on a different one and the text effect will remain in the same place until you click the apply button.

Create Custom Graphic
This link allows you to create a custom background graphic and fill it with a color. This is useful for making album covers with text on it, title pages for slideshows, or just creating a background that you want to put your text effects on.

Step One: Click the Create Custom Graphic link:

You will then see the following pop-up window appear:

Step Two: To set the background color of the graphic click the color chip:

Step Three: Next, enter in the size you want to make the custom graphic. If you are making the graphic for a slideshow, we recommend creating the graphic at 1024 (w) x 768 (h). If you are creating the custom graphic for a photo print or gift, look at the Minimum Print / Gift Sizes chart on this page.

Step Four: After you have set the color and the size of the graphic, click the Apply button in the pop-up window. This will close the pop-up window and will return you to the main interface.

Step Five: The Custom Graphic will now be shown in your preview as a solid color fill. You will need to click on the text effect example you want to have applied to the background. The effect will then render onto the background:

Step Six: When you are happy with your results, click the Apply button. The new Custom Graphic will be rendered and saved at the front of your album.
