Inviting Members To Contribute
Pixplug makes it easy to setup your site where members can act as contributors. This is a powerful feature and is fun to experience as it lets you build your site by tapping into not only your photos but those of your family and friends.

When you give someone permission to join your site (friends / family / group) they become a member of your site. You can go to the Site Manager > Site Settings > Manage Members page and define the member permissions you have given to each person who is a part of your site.

Membership Request
The first step to having other people contribute to your site is to have them join your site. Here are the steps they will take to do this:

Step One: The person needs to sign up for a Pixplug account. We offer a free 14 day trial the user can sign-up under to get new members started up under. The new member will need to get an account if they want to keep contributing to your account past the 14 day trial membership.

Step Two: After the person has an account (14 day trial or an account of their own) they log-in so Pixplug knows who they are when they come to your site.

Step Three: The person comes to your site and on your homepage they click on the Request to Join link on the appropriate pod (Friends pod / Family pod / Group Members pod). You will receive an email notification that the person has requested to join your site.

Step Four: You need to log-in and go to the Site Manager > Page Settings > Pending Requests page. On this page you will see all new requests to join your site. All you have to do is find the person and approve their request. When you approve the request the person will receive an email telling them you have approved their membership.

Setting Up Member Permissions
There are two ways to allow members to contribute to your site. The first is to give the member site level permissions. The second is to give the member permission on an album-by-album basis.

Site Level Permissions
You assign a person site level permissions on the Site Manager > Page Settings > Manage Members page by setting their membership level to CONTRIBUTE. The site level permissions grant the member the ability to do things across your entire site. They can create new albums, for example, and then upload new photos to these new albums. We recommend you grant only your most trusted family / friends / members this level of permission.

Album-by-Album Permissions
The second way to setup members to contribute to your site is to grant permissions to contribute on an album-by-album basis. This gives you granular control over what albums can be altered and who can alter them. You can setup contributors for each album on the Album Manager > Album Controls > Album Settings page. At the bottom of this page you will see a list of all the members to your site. Check the members you want to contribute to the album and then click the Apply button. The members you grant permissions to can now upload photos / edit photos / delete photos and change the album just like you can - including deleting the album.
